| About |
| I am a Photographer. I was born in Virginia. This is not the same as West Virginia. Since then I have lived in 7 apartments and 7 houses in 4 states and 4 countries. For a time I lived in an apartment in a not so friendly part of Paris that was so small I could flush the toilet while sitting on the bed and cooking in the kitchen. It was one of the best experiences of my life. Once I crashed a car into a 400 foot deep ravine in Umbria, Italy. The car was a rental. It was also a Fiat. I have a 95 pound purebred Akita named Reika. She does not like vacuum cleaners, silver cars, or cats. I think everyone should work in the service or hospitality industry for at least 3 years, I worked in a four star french restaurant where the chef threw potato's at me. I got my start in photography by working for multiple small town newspapers on the east coast. From there I studied landscape photography in Italy, but learned I prefer people. I was granted an internship at Daylight Studios, Paris; which led me to study fashion and commercial photography under multiple mentors. The most valuable things in my life are my relationships with other people. I play the piano, the guitar, I love to write, I am a slave to all things Italian, and I am a loyal fan of red wine. Color, beauty, passion, and drama inspire me. These are things that I incorporate into my work. I have been privileged to be chosen for the AltPick Editors Choice, Best of Phoenix 2011. In 2008 I won first prize in the UnScene Photography Tour in Phoenix, Arizona. I was honored to be a contributor to Flashes of Hope, a national non-profit organization that provides photo albums for the families of terminally ill children. I am in the process of developing a video portfolio. It is one of my dreams to create and direct short films and music videos. Currently I work in Phoenix, Los Angeles, and Washington DC. But I love to travel... |
